Ring Type Joint Gaskets

are metallic sealing rings, suitable for high pressure and high temperature duties. Ring joint gasket are always used in combination with special flanges which ensure good, reliable sealing with the correct.

PROPERTIES
  • Can be used for every high and/ or fluctuating pressures (up to 1500 bar), depending on the profile selected.
  • Materials selection determine its used at high temperatures (up to 1000°c) and in aggressive media.
  • Precise fitting ensures operational reliability.
  • Assembly and disassembly is simple due to robust gasket design.
  • The carefully controlled hardness of ring joint gasket guarantees an effective seal without damaging the flanges surfaces.
  • Ring joint gaskets fully comply with the ASME B16.20 standard and the API spec 6A requirements (where applicable).

The combination of these properties ensure that ring joint gasket can be used especially in areas with the most rigid sealing requirement, such as the offshore and petrochemical industries.

STANDARD PROFILE SHAPES

Oval/Octaganol
Ring type gasket with an oval section were originally designed for the flanges with a curved bottom groove. The modern flanges with flat bottom grooves and 23°c surfaces are suitable for both oval and octagonal ring joints.

R Oval
is a standard ring joint gasket, of the oval type and designed for flanges with standard ring joint grooves.

R Octaganol
is a standard ring joint gasket, of the octagonal type and designed for flanges with standard ring joint grooves.

RX
is a ring joint gasket for pressures (up to approx. 700 bar), the outer sealing surfaces constitute the first contact with the flanges. Hinger system pressure causes increased gasket stress, improving the efficiency of the seal. This gaskets are interchangeable with the standard R models. The bolt lengths must be extended because of the RX-series additional height.

BX
is a ring joint gasket for every high pressures (up to approx.1500 bar). This ring joint gasket is suited only for Api-type BX flanges and grooves. BX ring joint gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure.
